Scratch your craft beer itch at Tröegs
We’ve got two new Scratch beers hitting draft lines today! First up is Scratch #529 Nitro ESB, another Brewer’s Choice release that takes a deep dive into our archive of OG styles. Our take on this traditional English ale starts with Maris Otter and caramel malts, then Northern Brewer and Fuggle hops to add balance. Dispensing this beer via nitrogen mimics the style’s hallmark soft carbonation and highlights the notes of biscuit, toffee and fruity esters.
And on the hoppy end of the spectrum is Scratch #530 West Coast-style IPA, an R&D batch of a collaboration we’re working on with Evergrain Brewing. The signature white grape notes of New Zealand-grown Nelson Sauvin hops are the star of the show, while Simcoe and Citra play strong supporting roles by adding notes of stone fruit, citrus and plenty of dankness. Try it now and stay tuned for the final version in the fall! Both beers are uber-limited R&D batches and available only in our Tasting Room at the brewery, so try them while you can!
