Dear Saint Arnold Army,
After nearly 31 years of Saint Arnold, you know Amber Ale as our original beer - the one that started it all back in 1994. And while it's true the Amber Ale you enjoy today is the same beer we brewed at the end of that year, there's actually an even earlier recipe.
The very first batch of Amber Ale was the first time we'd scaled up to a full production batch. Hops do not scale linearly, and that batch - while very tasty - was a bit hoppier than we wanted. We tweaked the recipe on Batch 2 to scale back the hops to their current level - giving us the perfectly balanced Amber Ale recipe we still brew today.
For our 31st Anniversary though, we're throwing it allllll the way back to that very first batch. We're bumping up the hops a bit and brewing the Original 1994 Batch 1 Recipe of Amber Ale. This special release will only be available at the Saint Arnold Beer Garden & Restaurant.

Each of these special beers will be available at Saturday's 31st Anniversary Party (while supplies last) and as a part of Sunday's Special Rare Cellar Tasting.

Special Rare Cellar Tasting
at Saint Arnold
Taste a plethora of barrel aged beauties and special one-offs in our Beer Hall. Your ticket includes beer samples, a Houston Dairymaids cheese sampling, a special take-home bottle, and a souvenir 31st Anniversary taster glass.

Sunday, May 4:
Star Wars Fiesta
at Saint Arnold
This Sunday, we're celebrating both Star Wars Day and Cinco De Mayo! Come out to our Beer Garden as our friends at Super Happy Incredible Toys host The Super Happy Star Wars Fiesta. This free, family friendly event runs 12:00 to 6:00 PM.
Along with a local vendor market brimming with amazing Star Wars and Mexican inspired goodies, you'll find plenty of photo opportunities, free face painting, and Star Wars flash tattoos. Oh, and a live mariachi performance with Star Wars tunes!

Tuesday, May 6:
Cornhole Tournament
at Saint Arnold
Let's throw some bags! Grab a partner and come out to our Beer Garden next Tuesday to compete in our cornhole tournament, and you could go home with rich prizes.
This single-elimination tournament will start at 6:00 PM and is free to enter! Secure your team's spot now by emailing mike_audirsch@saintarnold.com or register when you arrive.
Pro tip: Holding a Saint Arnold beer in one hand helps balance your throwing motion. Trust us.

Arts & Drafts is back!
As craft brewers, we’re all about celebrating handmade art. As a craft beer drinker, you’re likely the same. If it’s handmade, you can find it at our Beer Garden on Saturday, May 10.
We’re thrilled for a special spring date for Arts & Drafts. This art festival will take place on the Saint Arnold campus from 4:00 to 9:00 PM and will feature an array of local vendors, live painting, an art raffle, and of course, delicious beer.
