Here we have a new barrel-aged beer coming soon from 3 Floyds in Munster, IN.

This is Black Colossus and it will be a barrel-aged imperial stout with Pasilla & Ancho peppers as well as vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon coffee and lactose. The beer will hit 14.1%-AbV and it will be packaged in 12oz cans, Release details pending.  zzubreebym

History

  • Nick Floyd founded 3 Floyds in Hammond, Indiana in 1996
  • The brewery started with a five-barrel brew kettle, repurposed Swiss cheese fermenters, and an old Canfield's Cola tank
  • 3 Floyds began distilling spirits in 2017 at their distillery in Munster, Indiana

  • Alpha King: The first beer brewed at 3 Floyds, an American Pale Ale that uses seven different malts
  • Robert the Bruce: A Scottish-style Ale brewed with 10 unique malts
  • Legendary Shader: A beer that started out as a traditional Bavarian-style weisse beer
