Brewers Association: Tariffs, Craft Brewers Conference & More

From the Brewers Association:

It’s only February, but there’s already much going on in the world of craft beer.

This year, the Brewers Association has already seen several key issues emerge that could impact small and independent brewers and the craft brewing industry. From regulatory updates to policy discussions, the Brewers Association is actively monitoring multiple key federal and state-level issues.

----

  • Tariffs: While the tariffs on Mexico and Canada are paused, the BA continues to advocate for legislation that will benefit small and independent breweries. Click the link to read the latest update on tariffs from the BA’s Government Affairs team.
  • TTB Labeling: To kickoff 2025, the federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau proposed significant changes to alcoholic beverage labeling regulations and on-package disclosures. Read more on how the BA will continue to engage with this issue at the link.
  • American Homebrewers Association: In January, AHA filed for incorporation in the state of Colorado as a step toward becoming an independent 501(c) nonprofit organization. Requests for more information about AHA can be sent to Karen Boe.
  • Craft Brewers Conference: Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America is just around the corner! Early bird registration ends Feb. 27 for brewers, or apply for working media credentials here.
