This morning I have a new bottle coming from Boulevard Brewing in Kansas City, MO.
This is Proper Pour and it will be an imperial stout double-aged in Cabernet wine barrels and Whiskey barrels. This 2023 Limited Release beer will hit 12.5%-ABV and you’re looking at the 12oz bottle. Stay tuned for release details. I've also added in the 2024 Cabernet Cask Proper Pour version (12oz bottles, 12.5%-AbV) and the 2025 version (12.7%-AbV, 12oz bottles). zzubreebym

It's just Proper
Hailing from our world-renowned barrel-aging program, Proper Pour is our distinctly wine-barrel finished series. Proper Pour (#2) starts with a backbone of bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout aged for 6 months. The base beer was finished in fresh Cabernet barrels, imparting the French oak wine barrel nuances of vanilla, black currant, and tobacco.
