Rogue Adding First Ever Foeder-Aged Sour Blonde: Côtes Du Rogue

Rogue Adding First Ever Foeder-Aged Sour Blonde: Cotes Du RogueThis morning I have a new and “first ever” sour ale coming from Rogue Ales & Spirits in Newport, OR.  This is Côtes Du Rogue and it will be Rogue’s first-ever Foeder-aged sour blonde ale.  The beer uses a wild yeast strain from the “open air of the Yaquina Bay.”  This yeast strain and 5 common varieties were used in 16 barrels and the resulting beers were blended to create this limited series of beers.  This beer will hit 7.1%-AbV & 5 IBU and you’re looking at the 16.9oz bottle.  This update from Rogue:

Cotes Du Rogue, our first Foeder-aged sour blonde, is coming soon. This sour blonde graces the palate with notes of vanilla, oak, and apricot. Hands up if you want to try this one!
