Craft-beer drinkers will remember Pete's Wicked Ale, a vanguard in the industry that has since vanished over the years. Now, it's coming back in a big way, thanks to an arrangement with Hoppin' Frog Brewery in Akron.
Wicked Re-Pete 2X – an imperial American Nut Brown Ale – is the incarnation of the ale that would have marked its 30th anniversary this year.
The reboot comes about because of a longtime friendship between Fred Karm of the Akron brewery and Pete Slosberg of the original Pete's.
