I just love sampling my way through some new and familiar beers from Samuel Adams….and with the whole “Super” weekend ahead of us, I just couldn’t resist sampling our way through the new Cabin Pack variety 12-pack.

Samuel Adams has some really unique and exciting beers, so fasten your setabelts as we sample our way though  5 new and familiar brews.

Session Ale (NEW):  This is an ESB-style brew that uses Bavarian Noble hops. This beer has tons of citrus and some herbal and floral notes; it uses East Kent Goldings hops (added 4 times in the brewing process) and you’ll be surprised at how bright it finishes.  Available as part of the Samuel Adams Cabin Pack (12-pack)….(5%-AbV, 30 IBU) you’ll want more than one.

Crystal Pale Ale:  First brewed in 2015 for the Spring Variety Pack, this pale ale uses Crystal hops from Corvalis, OR.  Look for Crystal Pale Ale to hit 5.3%-AbV and 35 IBU.

Escape Route:  This hazy Kolsch-style brew uses a “crazy yeast strain” that imparts some tropical fruit notes and a really clean finish.  This beer hits 5%-AbV and 30 IBU.

We love Noble Pils and yes it still uses ALL 5 Noble hops.  This beer was first brewed for Jim Koch’s daughter’s wedding and it was first released in 2009.  Noble Pils hits 4.9%-AbV and 34 IBU.

It was a perfect finish with Samuel Adams Scotch Ale.  This big malty brew was first brewed in 1995 and it won the 2015 Samuel Adams Brewers Vault contest to earn a place in the 2016 Cabin Pack.  It’s sweet and smoky with a touch of peated malt…and one of my classic Samuel Adams beers.  Scotch Ale hits 5.5%-AbV and 35.

Be sure to try the new Samuel Adams Cabin Pack variety 12-pack…and as always be sure to let us know what YOU think.
