Hauck is using a local theme for the brewery. The name Gandy Dancer refers to the railroad workers who used to lay track nearby.
According to Hauck, Gandy Dancer Brew Works is Sioux Falls' only active commercial brewery. The brewery and Monks are at 420 E. Eighth St.
Hauck is planning a release of the first beers Aug. 27.
