The museum recently partnered with DC Brau brewery and the D.C. Homebrewers tore-create one of Heurich's original beers, the Heurich lager. The beer was unveiled at a cocktail party at the museum, and those with a keen interest in both history and beer got a taste.
The beer is made using some rice and corn, caramel malt and Saazer hops from the Czech Republic, and even though it's light in flavor, it is more than 6 percent alcohol by volume.
