Coming to us from Miller Coors, here’s the next release from AC Golden Brewing Co Hidden Barrel Collection. This beer is called Checkpoint Charlie and it is a Berliner Weisse Style Wheat Ale. This beer was brewed in Dec 2012 and fermented with brewers yeast and a small amount of Brett yeast. After primary fermentation, they added Lactobacillus and let the beer acidify for 4 months before a final bottle refermentation with more Brettanomyces yeast. Checkpoint Charlie will be packaged in 750ml bottles with an OG of 8.0 and an FG of .7. This appears to be a limited bottling run of 588.
