Here’s the latest 750ml bottle release from Thomas Hooker for their Connecticut Barrel Series. This beer is called simply Saison and it is a Belgian-style ale brewed with peppercorn & aged in wine barrels. Saison uses Weyerman floor-malted bohemian pilsner malt, wheat Czech Saaz hops, Connecticut-grown estate hops and black peppercorns. The Connecticut series of beers uses wine barrels from Connecticut wineries to age the beer and this brew comes in at 7.1% ABV.
