An interesting event coming on July 26th form Iron Hill. Details from Jennie Hatton:
CHESTNUT HILL, PA – On Thursday, July 26 beginning at 5 p.m., head brewer Paul Rutherford of Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant (8400 Germantown Avenue, 215-948-5600) will host a spirited IBU Smackdown pitting his Ultimate Warrior IPA, a big-time American IPA, against his Belgian Full Nelson, a Belgian double witbier, in a cask challenge to determine the fan favorite between these two heavyweights. A fun menu of hot dogs, named for pro wrestlers, will also be available, plus other exciting surprises.
“Ladies and gentlemen, let’s get ready to RUMBLEEEEE…!” says Rutherford. “This is a no-holds-barred fight to the finish between two of our favorite big, bad beers – featuring “wrestlers” in attendance representing each beer, plus vintage Wrestlemania on the TVs to set the scene.

The Contenders: weighing in at 7.2%, Ultimate Warrior is dry hopped with warrior hops and will showcase enough hop punch to lay low all competition; and weighing in at 8.5%, Belgian Full Nelson is brewed with unmalted wheat, oats and Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand that will add a note of white grapes to the beer. The beers will be available on a pay-as-you-go basis, until one cask is finished and named “The Champ.”
