So who would have thought that we’d have two different label approvals today for beers including Molasses & licorice?! Up next is Deschutes The Abyss 2012 Reserve malt beverage brewed with black strap molasses, licorice, with cherry bark & vanilla added with 6% aged in oak bourbon barrels, 11% aged in oak barrels & 11% aged in oak wine barrels. This is one of my favorite Deschutes ales….it will be package din 22oz bottles and come in at 11% ABV.
