We brought you the news that Engelszell Stift had applied to become the 8th Trappists brewery (and only the 2nd one not in Belgium’s borders)….and now comes word that they have been approved. This from the International Trappists Association:
The label “Authentic Trappist Product” can be granted to this beer until later. Here is a thorough and months long assessment because of the international Trappist Association (IVT) to advance.
However, since the "Gregory" originates from a community of Trappist brothers, she does her descent all honor to and should they – like all products manufactured by Trappists or already a trappistine-now rightly be called Trappist beer!
