Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant signed into law SB-2878 (taking effect July 1st) allowing brewers to increase the maximum ABW of their beers from 5% to 8%. We brought you the story of Lazy Magnolia Brewing and how this law affected them, so it is exciting to see the bill signed into law. This new law will open the door to a new variety of beers that can be imported into Mississippi (or brewed IN Mississippi) and decrease the number of residents who regularly cross the state’s borders in search of higher ABW beers.
