Samuel Adams - Dark Depths Baltic IPA

image

There’s been some debate as to the upcoming additions to the Samuel Adams Small Batch/Single Batch Series of beers.  We brought you the original Tasman Red (along with Jim Koch on the radio sampling it with us),  Griffins Bow, The Vixen, Third Voyage and even news of Cinder Bock NOT being part of the series so far (still in surrendered status with the TTB)…so it was exciting today to see the approval for Dark Depths Baltic IPA.  Not only does the style sound interesting, but this big 7.6% ABV promises to be a classic English-style porter….and yes they are calling it a LAGER.  Look for the hops to be Saaz, Noble Hops, Zeus, Ahtanum & Simcoe, 2-row Harrington, metcalf, & copeland pale malts, carafai, caramel 60 & Munich malts, with LAGER yeast.  Can’t wait to try this one./

  1. Tried it and LOVED it! Having spent just over a year in the Baltics, this beer is everything good I remember from the wonderful local brews over there. Get it and enjoy the adventure.
